Los Angeles—Jeremy Renner is going from Bravo Company to Three’s Company in the upcoming film adaption of the hit sitcom that ran on ABC from 1977 to 1984. Renner will star as Jack Tripper, the clumsy chef and restaurant owner played by the late John Ritter on TV. Renner is re-teaming with Oscar-winning “The Hurt Locker” director Kathryn Bigelow to star in the film, Sony Pictures announced yesterday.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to do slapstick and farce,” said Renner. “And I know with this script, I can do a lot more comedy than I did in other projects.”
