Magician, Judge, Newspaper Columnist Harry Anderson Has Died At 65

Asheville, NC—Harry Anderson, former street magician turned actor, died at his home on Monday. He was 65.

Best known for his role as Judge Harry Stone on NBC’s “Night Court” from 1984 to 1992, Anderson also starred in the TV show “Dave’s World” as a fictional version of columnist Dave Barry, and appeared on “Cheers,” “Tales From the Dark Side” and “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose.”

On the big screen, Anderson appeared in such films as “The Escape Artist,” “Hexing a Hurricane,” “RECOiL” and “A Matter of Faith.” 

He is survived by his second wife and two children.
